I’m sure you’re thinking about so many things. “How will I look?  What if I have a breakout?” Well, you won’t have to worry about that last one because my job is to make you look amazing. Trust me, I got you. One of the best tips is always to check to see if the product is ideal for your skin type. Whether you have dry, oily or sensitive skin. It's always best to read the labels. For me, I have sensitive skin. I have to make sure these products are not harsh with fragrance and such.

Do’s for Skincare Routine

  1. Start early by visiting a dermatologist to understand your skin and concerns.

  2. Exfoliate the night before.

  3. Manage stress. Having stress can lead to skin breakouts as well inflammatory conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Try some yoga or go for a walk to help with stress.

  4. Drink water. We all know that water is great for your skin! Add some lemons to it for vitamin c.

  5. Talk to a dermatologist. We all know our skin but a dermatologist can help you be prepared for any skin issues along the way to your wedding. It's best to consult about a year to 9 months ahead.

  6. Follow a healthy diet with rich in fiber, protein, carbs and healthy fats.

  7. Use serum. It is highly essential as it's required to restore all the moisture needed by the skin.

  8. Have enough of sleep.

  9. Moisturize. This is one of the most important steps to help keep your skin feeling oh so smooth.

  10. Add retinol to your routine. This helps for skin repair and restore.

Don’ts for skincare routine

  1. Don't book new facial services. I'm all for it getting a massage at the spa during the week of your wedding but I would stay away from facials or peels. You don't want redness or skin reaction on the day of your wedding. That's one less thing to worry about.

  2. Don't change any products to your routines.  You don’t want to have a negative reaction like swelling or redness to any new items so it’s best to keep with your usual routine so that you know what works well for your skin.

  3. Avoid spray tan. You don’t want to look “orange-y” on your wedding day.

  4. Say no to over-exfoliation. Limit exfoliation to 1-2 times a week. Look for exfoliation products with gentle, non harsh ingredients.

  5. Don’t go sunbathing. Tanned skin looks great because it’s glowing and radiant and show vacation vibes. However, you run the risk of getting sunburns and long-term skin damage, and tan lines that are far from idea for wedding photos.

  6. Don’t Stress! This is one of the important tips! It causes acne and wrinkles. Planning a wedding can be stressful. Try not to let the stress ruin your health and beauty!

  7. Don’t push yourself hard in the gym. Nothing skin related but you can mess up your muscles (your leg, back or your neck where you can’t turn your head to one side).

  8. Don’t get a drastic haircut. Another beauty tip - If there is a style that seem to look drastic but liking the idea, my advice is not to do it. It is risky and may end up deciding not liking it that much.. It takes a while for the hair to grow back.

  9. Don’t pop the zits! Acne and pimples lead back to the stress which isn’t also good for your health. Try not to stress. Even if you get a pimple, use this instead.

  10. Never wear makeup to bed. Not just up til the wedding but in general. Going to bed with makeup cause your skin to get clogged which leads to acne and blackheads. I use Youth to the people cleanser. The link is down below!

My fave skin care products!

Here are some stuff that I use. For me personally, I use clean (nontoxic) products because not only it's clean, vegan and all natural. Toxic makeup ingredients are linked to harmful health effects. I usually shop at Sephora but some products are not from Sephora, but also shop at Ulta and Target. I have sensitive skin. Most or some products work for all skin types.

  • Cleanser. Check this out. This is a great product! I use this every morning and night. It is fragrance free and also restores and hydrates your skin with oats and apples, soothe and comfort with aloe and purify and refresh with moringa oil. It is also loaded with Vitamin F - supports your skin barrier with essential fatty acids.

  • Moisture your skin. Try this: Farmacy Honey.

  • Having toner included in your skincare routine would be benefical. Including a gentle, hydrating toner in your pre-wedding skincare routine can be beneficial for balancing skin pH, removing impurities, and promoting a healthy, glowing complexion, especially when used after cleansing. I use this for my daily use and I love how it turns out.

  • Vitamin C serum. I use the madhippie brand, it helps to brighten and tighten your skin. It is also filled with Vitamin E and antioxidants. It is safe for all skin types!

  • Night cream. This is one of my faves! It makes me feel so good and love the smell! Check out this night cream. It is filled with of vitamin C, potent antioxidants & adaptogens.

  • I use this facial oil after I do my night cream. I love this product so much along with the night cream. You can’t go wrong with it. It’s filled with antioxidants with Argan oil, Goji and Hemp Seed.

I hope this wedding skin care plan has been helpful as you start to make your preparations for your wedding day. Happy planning and I cannot wait to see you in your beautiful skin soon!
