A chance at fun before wedding plans take over
Doing an engagement session is a great way to celebrate your love. Show off your goofy personality, making her laugh and smile at the same time. Those moments being in love while having it captured in a relaxed atmosphere. Let’s be honest. Wedding planning isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Before the wedding plans and responsibilities take over, why not enjoy some time together?
Getting to know your photographer
Finding a wedding photographer you connect with is crucial, as they become an integral part of capturing your special day, ensuring you feel comfortable and relaxed, and ultimately, creating lasting memories. Not only is this the perfect, relaxed environment to get to know each other better, but it can also be an opportunity to ensure you are all on the same page before the big day comes.
Photos for the save-the-dates and wedding decor
Who doesn’t love photos? Your parents do. You do. I do. Sharing engagement photos with friends and family allows everyone to celebrate your love and look forward to your future together, creating lasting memories and heirloom albums that can be enjoyed for years to come. Save the date cards, thank you cards, a wedding website, a guest book ... all of these are important aspects of your wedding planning that will benefit SO much from beautiful engagement photos!
An opportunity to try out styles, hair and makeup
What a great idea to do an engagement session being in lovey dovey and get to dressed up for this fun time. A great tip for this that after the session, go out to dinner or go on a date night and reminisce why you fell in love in the first place. Use the engagement session as a trial run for your wedding day hair and makeup is a great idea! It allows you to experiment with different styles and looks, get to know your hairstylist and makeup artist, and ensure you feel confident and comfortable on your big day.
